As a detox and rehab support volunteer, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support, by helping to develop personal, flexible, and realistic support packages needed to make meaningful changes. Your role will focus on developing strength-based detox and rehab plans, providing information, and supporting individuals to access inpatient detox or residential rehabilitation.
You will work closely with the detox and rehab recovery worker and the wider multi-disciplinary team across Northamptonshire, to ensure the right people are given the right opportunity. As part of this role, you will visit various rehabilitation Centre’s and detox units and accompany vulnerable clients to attend assessments and admissions, actively encouraging them to participate throughout their treatment journey. This role will require networking with all staff to ensure the provision of excellent service to individuals seeking rehabilitation and detox.
Ideally, we would like someone with lived experience of going to detox and/or rehab to tell their story and share their experience with potential new candidates. If you think you meet the criteria, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you.

The Street Outreach Service supports rough sleepers to access accommodation. Within this team, our dedicated Reconnections Workers support clients/service users who have a connection to another area to return to this area in a planned and cohesive way. Upon return to their local area, clients/service users can access accommodation and/or social, family, and support networks.
As a Social Media Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting the Street Outreach Service with service promotion, information, and advice.
At Change Grow Live you will be working with people to support change and the direction of their life, to grow as an individual, and to live life to its full potential.
As a Criminal Justice Recovery support volunteer, you will be working in close collaboration with CGL Criminal justice Recovery Coordinators and the probation service.
You will be assisting recovery coordinators in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey, community order or licence conditions. This can include; completing assessments, risk management plans, support in facilitating groups and undertaking one to one work.
The service will also be working directly with directly with prisons and providing a ‘through the gate’ service for clients who are being released.
This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to gain experience of working within both the substance misuse and the criminal justice fields. You will be part of a supportive team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role. This is rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of others.
Are you a BACP registered or accredited counsellor (to a minimum of level 4) or a second-year counselling student on a level 4 (or above) diploma? Do you want to work in an environment where you can use your counselling skills to achieve the best for people?

We are looking for a volunteer who is able to speak two or more languages to join our team here at Great Yarmouth to help us break down language barriers and support even more people on their journey to recovery.
Role Overview: Hepatitis C is a viral infection that causes liver swelling, called inflammation. Hepatitis C can lead to serious liver damage. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) spreads through contact with blood that has the virus in it.There are lots of ways you can get involved to help Substance to Solution reach our goal of eliminating Hepatitis C across Northamptonshire. Volunteers are from all walks of life, with varying hepatitis C experiences from across the country. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting service users in their recovery journey, assisting with dry blood spot testing, and engaging them in Hepatitis C treatment. By contributing to the micro-elimination of Hepatitis C, you will directly impact the development and continuity of our service. This role requires a motivated attitude towards multi-agency collaboration. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate(s), so if this role interests you, we would love to hear from you.

CGL Harm Reduction Peer Educators are a great community asset and will complement the existing provision of overdose awareness, Injecting equipment and naloxone training. Under the scheme, Harm Reduction Peer Educators (HRPE) will make direct supplies of naloxone and Injecting equipment to individuals they have trained/educated using the CGL Supply Framework.
Our Harm Reduction Peer educators are recruited from the community and have a history of lived or living experience of using drugs, but in some cases, they are family members who have lost a sibling to an overdose.
This project started following the high death drug death rate in Scotland, and as Harm Reduction Peer Educators at Change Grow Live our main aim is to make a difference in our communities by educating others in harm reduction, overdose awareness, and reducing drug deaths.
With this role you’ll be working as part of Harm Reduction Peer Educator project, based in Edinburgh.
