Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.

As a Recovery Support Volunteer  within our vibrant Southwark Borough Change Grow Live service you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live. Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

 

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals and friendly faces to help support people in leading healthier lives. Equally, the ideal candidates will demonstrate a compassionate, open, and bold mindset. We hope this role will be for you.  

Responsibilities

Volunteers contribute to Change Grow Live in a variety of ways. From Admin Volunteers to Service User Reps, from Peer Mentors to Healthcare Support Volunteers, from Independent Visitors to Community Mentors each volunteer brings a unique set of skills and talents. We are incredibly grateful for all that volunteers do to support our service users.

 

We offer an induction of our service for you to explore which team you specificially would like to volunteer with and donate your skils and time in your expressive area of interest to support those who use our service. 

 

Most of our volunteer opportunities don’t need any special qualifications. We’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that you're kind, open-minded and passionate about supporting people.

 

Everyone is welcome at Change Grow Live. As a volunteer you will be treated with respect and accepted for who you are. You don’t need to have personal experience of drug and alcohol recovery to get involved.
