At Change Grow Live we work with all individuals to help them change the direction of their life, grow as a person, and live life to its full potential.  We’re looking for a Veterans Support Volunteer on a voluntary basis to do just that.

You will be working in close collaboration with our team and the Veterans support service.

Assisting in further developing our Veterans support and being a voice for our Veterans so they are made aware opportunities that are available to them.  Your own experiences would be paramount to encourage and welcome Veterans to use the service and explain how together we can make a difference.

Responsibilities

Within this role you will be supporting veterans to access the service and utilise the additional opportunities available to them, you’ll be an integral team member and play an active role in helping our service users achieve their goals. Preferably you are a Veteran or have been involved with the military, so you understand first-hand the support required.  We’ll also need you to have a caring nature and a real interest in supporting and helping people grow.

Within your role you’ll be supporting the recovery coordinator in the support and planning the development of individual community recovery plans.  Alongside this you’ll be providing 1:1 key work session including harm reduction advice and recovery planning.  You’ll receive all the training you’ll need to be a success and a make a difference in the lives of the Veterans who really need our support.
