1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward-thinking project, with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults aged 16 to 25.
Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction. We provide non-judgmental, fact-based, information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.
We are looking for passionate Outreach Volunteers to get out and about in the community with our Outreach Workers, meeting young people and young adults where they are at. This includes:
Candidates should be confident communicators, feel able to approach groups of young people and due to the nature of the work, comfortable to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
As well as receiving extensive training and experience through this role, we hope you will also have lots of fun and enjoyment as you volunteer with us, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the important work 1625 Outreach does in your community.
Please note, successful candidates will be required to attend 2 x in-person training days.
