At Change Grow Live we believe groups are a great way to engage and connect with those who use our services. We therefore offer a wide range of structured, and peer led group work programmes.

Purpose of role:

At Change Grow Live we believe groups are a great way to engage and connect with those who use our services. We therefore offer a wide range of structured, and peer led group work programmes.
As a Group Work Support Volunteer, you will play an instrumental role in supporting the facilitator in the planning and preparation of groups. This will include promoting groups to service users, reminding them of up-and-coming sessions and engaging with those who do not attend. You will be provided with training and supported to eventually be able to take the lead in delivering some of the groups and provide one to one support to clients within the group setting. You can also support the review and development of session materials including content, handouts and delivery.

Key Activities:
• Engaging with people who use our services and staff to promote the benefits of the various groups on offer
• Assisting in the preparation of content and materials needed for groupwork sessions
• Creating an appropriate and dynamic environment for a group session
• Meeting and greeting service users welcoming them into the group setting
• Co-facilitating groups taking a lead on activities and check in’s
• Providing 1.2.1 support where necessary within the group
• Working towards delivering some groups independently
• Recording group attendance on case management systems
• Contacting service users who do not attend to re-engage them with the group
• Supporting the review and development of existing and new training material and delivery
• Help support people who use our services to provide us with feedback on their views and experiences

Candidates selected for interview will be invited to attend on 2nd October.
* Please note that, if successful in this recruitment process, you will be required to attend the following mandatory training dates:

Tuesday 3rd November 2026 - Induction 10am to 4pm
Tuesday 10th November 2026 - Boundaries and Confidentiality 10am to 4pm
Tuesday 17th November 2026 - Drug and Alcohol Awareness 10am to 4pm
Tuesday 24th November - Harm Minimisation and Naloxone 10am to 4pm
Tuesday 1st December - Shared Lived Experience Framework 10am to 1pm
