Overview

We are looking to recruit a Non-Opiate Group Work Support Volunteer to support our Non-Opiate team.

Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved.

At Change Grow Live you will be working with people to support change and the direction of their life, to grow as an individual, and to live life to its full potential.

Responsibilities

At Change Grow Live we believe groups are a great way to engage and connect with those who use our services. We have developed new pathways and resources to support clients affected by non-opiate substances. We would like to recruit a volunteer to support in the running of non-opiate groups.

As a Non-Opiate Group Work Support Volunteer, you will play an instrumental role in:

  • Supporting the facilitator in the planning and preparation of the groups. This will include promoting groups to service users affected by non-opiate substances, reminding them of upcoming sessions and engaging with those who do not attend.
  • During groups, you will support the recovery worker to run each session effectively by greeting clients as they arrive, helping anyone in the group who may need 1:1 support and providing resources to be used within the session.
  • You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in the review and development of session materials including content, handouts and delivery. You will receive all the training needed to support you in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to gain experience of working within the substance misuse field. You will be part of a supportive non-opiate team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role. This is rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of others.

We are committed to creating an environment that respects and values diversity, with a positive and supportive culture where everyone feels welcome, empowered, and represented.

You will be provided with all the skills, knowledge, and support to undertake the role including full induction and training.

Interested? Please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
