Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved. 

Responsibilities

Make a real impact supporting people access the right treatment and support!

We are looking for a person who has the ability to work with professional boundaries with a respectful and supportive manner.

Key Activitves

  • Support the team in completing triage assessments for those entering servicesProvide service users with information on the treatment/options available to them both face to face and via the telephone.
  • Support service users to access treatment and support
  • Ensure the accurate and timely recording of client data and information in order that the service operates within its requirements.
  • Assist and carry out appropriate screening processes including urine, saliva tests and Dry Blood Spot tests.
  • Provide service users with advice and information.
  • Signpost and refer service users to support within the community.

 

General terms of reference:

 

In carrying out the above duties the post holder will:

  • Help Change Grow Live fulfil its role in offering the best service to our clients.
  • Perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability.
  • Follow the Change Grow Live's procedures and standards, including health and safety and equal opportunities, in relation to our staff, volunteers and clients.
  • Maintain the confidential information of Change Grow Live and of our clients; adhering to Change Grow Live's policies and procedures.
  • Meet the time commitments and standards which have been mutually agreed and to give reasonable notice so other arrangements can be made when this is not possible.

We are incredibly grateful for all that our volunteers do to support our service users.

 

Most of our volunteer opportunities don’t need any special qualifications. We’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that you're kind, open-minded and passionate about supporting people.

 

As part of your journey with us attending our training sessions is essential to support you in your role. Our mandatory sessions will equip you with what you need to thrive in your volunteer role. 

 

Mandatory: Volunteer induction training

Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training

Required: Drug awareness training

Required: Harm reduction training

Required: Alcohol awareness training
