Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?

Responsibilities

Volunteering as a Women's Engagment Volunteer will enable you to support our team with outreach work, accompany women to appointments, respond to referrals, and provide signposting to relevant services.

What You’ll Get Out of Volunteering

  • Personal Growth – Build confidence, learn new skills, share your expertise and gain hands-on experience in health and social care.
  • Career Development – Access training, gain insight into the sector, and boost your CV for future opportunities.
  • Make a Difference – Support people in their recovery and help create safer, healthier communities.
  • Flexible Opportunities – Fit volunteering around your schedule with a variety of roles available.
  • Join a supportive team – Work alongside passionate, friendly people who share your values.
  • Feel Valued – Your time and effort will be recognised and appreciated.
  • Travel expenses - reimburse all reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred in travelling to the place of volunteering and whilst carrying out any voluntary activities.

Get ready to make a real impact!

The role includes comprehensive training, consisting of two in‑person training days followed by three online sessions. Training will take place once per week for half a day.

An in‑person, values‑based conversation will be held at one of our offices during the week commencing 25 May, with training beginning the week commencing 1 June.

We understand that volunteers have other commitments, and some flexibility may be available around training days and times to help accommodate individual needs where possible.

We are committed to creating an environment that respects and values diversity, with a positive and supportive culture where everyone feels welcome, empowered, and represented.

This volunteer role is open to women only. It is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, for the successful applicant to be female.
