Responsibilities

Volunteering at Change Grow Live

 

You’ll have the opportunity to support people as they change the direction of their lives, build confidence, and reach their full potential. As a Recovery Support Volunteer, you’ll work closely with Recovery Coordinators, helping individuals throughout their treatment journey. This may include assisting with assessments, developing risk management plans, and offering one-to-one support. You’ll receive full training and ongoing guidance, with the chance to gradually manage a small caseload of low-risk clients — making a meaningful difference in someone’s life every day.

Location

This volunteer role is available across all of our hubs throughout Birmingham.

Your placement will be determined by service need, but we'll always take your location preference into account and work with you to find the best fit.


What We're Looking For

  • A non-judgmental, empathetic approach to working with people who use drugs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and commitment to regular volunteering
  • Willingness to work in community settings
  • An open mind and desire to learn

Full training will be provided – no previous experience necessary, just a genuine desire to help.
