Overview

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

 

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

 

Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?

Responsibilities

Everyone is welcome at Change Grow Live. As a volunteer you will be treated with respect and accepted for who you are. You don’t need to have personal experience of drug and alcohol recovery to get involved.

 

As a member of our York Duty Team you will meet and greet those who come into our service.  You will be responsible for answering the telephone and greeting in person whilst covering reception.


You will conduct assessments and triage for those coming into service and signpost where appropriate.  No experience is necessary and full training will be given so do not fear! 


This is a great role to get an overview of how the service works whilst offering an opportunity to have a positive impact in the day of those whom you meet and speak with.

 

Interviews will be held on 24 / 25 November 2025

 

If successful you would need to be available for training on:

 

Monday 1 December 2025 - Induction

Monday 8 December 2025 - Boundaries

 

Both of these courses are delivered at:

3 Blossom Street York YO24 1AU 

10:00-15:00
