Volunteer Assessment Worker

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.

Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.

Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?

We are looking for 3 motivated and committed volunteers to work with our point of access assessment team, our assessment team is a very busy team which operates on a open access policy Monday to Thursday, we would be looking for candidates that can offer and commit to at least 2 days per week.

The successful volunteer candidates will have available to them role specific training and a wide offer of accrediting learning, you will also be assigned a mentor and will be working towards a specific development plan. 

Most of our volunteer opportunities don’t need any special qualifications. We’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that you're kind, open-minded and passionate about supporting people.

Please see below training dates before applying for this role as attending training is essential prior, if you are unable to attend the below dates, we will be looking to recruit further volunteers later in the year.

Training Dates:

Attendance on training dates is an essential part for the volunteer role, please check training dates and your availability to attend all training sessions, all training is QLS accredited.

Mandatory: Volunteer induction training P1 4^th November and P2: 6^th November 2025 10am-2.30pm

Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training 7^th November 2025 10am-4pm

Required: Drug awareness training 20^th November 2025 10am-3pm

Required: Harm reduction training 21^st November 2025 10am-3pm

Required: Alcohol awareness training 24^th November 2025 10am-3pm
