Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiatic Ecotherapy Volunteer to join our friendly and supportive team.

Change Grow Live - The Place provides support and treatment to young people under 25 in Nottingham who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol.

Where: Nottingham

When: Whether you can donate one day a week of your time or 3days+, we will work with you to be as flexible as possible. Our service is open 9AM – 5PM.

Volunteer Expenses: Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed as per CGL volunteer policy.

 

Key activities of the role –

  • Work with staff and service users to generate ideas for ecotherapy projects/initiatives
  • Assist staff and service users in implementing projects/initiatives e.g., sourcing materials, planting and maintaining gardens, upcycling items etc.
  • Build relationships with local community projects/services to support partnerships and ongoing sustainability
  • Co-facilitate service user ecotherapy groups or outdoor activities alongside staff
  • Support staff with preparations for activities e.g., setting up and clearing away required equipment / materials
  • Help to create a warm, friendly and encouraging atmosphere
  • Support service users to engage in activities
  • Gather feedback from service users to co-create new ideas and ways to improve our ecotherapy activities
  • Raise concerns you have about others with staff as required (e.g. safeguarding)
  • Opportunities to contribute to service social media posts related to ecotherapy
