The Corner provides support and treatment to young people under 18 in the Sheffield area who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. We also provide advice and information to family members and significant others who may be worried about or affected by a young person's substance misuse.
Supporting parents and carers affected by a young person's substance misuse can be an overwhelming experience. As a Parent and Carer Support Volunteer, you will offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where parents and carers can express their concerns, share their experiences, and find support.
You will collaborate closely with our Parent & Carer Lead to provide valuable information and practical tools, helping families understand the impact of substance misuse on the entire household, while fostering resilience and well-being. This support can be delivered through phone calls, face-to-face interactions, or within group settings.
We will equip you with all the necessary training, skills, and ongoing support to excel in this meaningful role.
