We are seeking passionate and motivated Recovery Support Volunteers. Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?
Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.
Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.
As a Volunteer Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.
With this role you’ll be working as part of our team, based in King's Lynn and surrounding areas.
The team supports people with their or their loved ones’ drug and/or alcohol issues.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
Our work in Norfolk focuses on supporting people looking to change harmful patterns of behaviour in relation to addiction and dependence, supporting them to identify their personal areas for support and development, through one-to-one work, group work and onward referrals to other services.
We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too.
This is what one of our Volunteer Recovery Coordinators/people who use our service had to say (use quotes from your service): “I like the team spirit, that we all bring something different and we always put the people who use our service first”.
Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we’d love to hear from you so click apply.
