Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you want to become a Peer Mentor and support others in their journey towards personal growth and well-being?

ReNew is offering an Introduction to Peer Mentoring course, designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a successful Peer Mentor.

Responsibilities

 

Course Details:

  • Location: Hull CVS, 75 Beverley Rd, Hull HU3 1XL
  • Dates: Every Thursday from 07/11/2024 to 12/12/2024
  • Time: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM

This comprehensive 6-week course covers key topics essential for peer mentors, including:

  1. Drug and Alcohol Awareness
  2. Data Protection and Confidentiality
  3. Child Protection
  4. Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
  5. Boundaries and Ethics in Mentoring

If you want to use your lived experience with substance misuse to help others, this course will equip you with the foundational skills needed to support and guide individuals effectively.

 

Limited places available! Applicants are encouraged to include a personal statement outlining their motivation for becoming a Peer Mentor, emphasising why they want to take part in the course.
