Overview

Volunteering at Change Grow Live

Volunteers contribute to Change Grow Live in a variety of ways. From Admin Volunteers to Service User Reps, from Peer Mentors to Healthcare Support Volunteers, each volunteer brings a unique set of skills and talents. We are incredibly grateful for all that volunteers do to support our service users.

Responsibilities

We are seeking volunteer drivers to operate our mobile clinic which is a Peugeot Boxer based coach built conversion van. It is a Group B (car licence) category vehicle. Our insurers stipulate certain driver requirements which are detailed in the Role Description.

The role will entail collecting the vehicle from its base location, this venue is currently Mansfield, but Worksop is also used. Your convenience can be taken into account as to parking the vehicle, according to planned deployments and your travel necessities.

The vehicle is then sited at a suitable location around the county e.g. West Bridgford, Eastwood, Harworth, Newark. The clinic is staffed for purposes of service delivery by members of our Harm Reduction team, Medics, or Outreach workers. You could be involved with service delivery if it is something you would like to progress into, and for which you have a proficiency.

At the end of a working session (typically half days) you would then return the vehicle to its base and ready it for its next planned deployment.

We are able to reimburse all expenses associated with volunteering. You will certainly meet a variety of interesting people, service users and colleagues.

We aim to coduct value based discussions with suitable applicants withoin two weeks of the closing date. To drive the vehicle and meet/greet service users will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check at basic level - for which you will require three forms of acceptable identification and an address history covering the past five years. If you progressed to providing clinical services at some future point, this would entail a higher level of disclosure and risk assessment.

Closing Date

31/5/2024
