Overview

The Street Outreach Service supports rough sleepers to access accommodation. Within this team, our dedicated Reconnections Workers support clients/service users who have a connection to another area to return to this area in a planned and cohesive way. Upon return to their local area, clients/service users can access accommodation and/or social, family, and support networks.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to the support the Reconnections team with client reconnections. This may include planning the reconnection, booking tickets, and informing services of the client’s arrival. You will also be supporting the team to undertake these reconnections, which could involve day and occasionally overnight travel within the UK.

 

You will be expected to build positive working relationships with rough sleepers as well as demonstrate excellent collaboration with partner agencies. Organisation and a willingness to learn is key.

 

No two days are the same, and you will be expected to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach. Full training and induction will be provided upon commencement of the role, and you will have access to regular support and additional trainings.
